Common questions
The things businesses usually want to know before they talk to us. If yours isn’t here, ask us on a discovery call.
What kind of business is Opus built for?
Any business that assigns work to people based on location. That includes franchise networks, multi-van service operators from a few vehicles upwards, and distributed providers like a personal-training network allocating clients to local trainers. If you take enquiries and need to get them to the right operator quickly, Opus fits.
How long does it take to get set up?
We configure your territories, rules and operators, connect the web forms to your existing site, and get your team onto the mobile app. Typical onboarding takes around 1 week. We’ll give you a clear timeline on your discovery call once we understand your setup.
Can it handle our existing territories and rules?
Yes. Opus routes by suburb and postcode territory with primary and backup logic, and when no one covers a suburb it widens to the surrounding region and offers the job to the nearest operators. Assignment can also factor in service type, skill and availability. We set this up to match the way your business already divides work.
What if our business does something unusual?
Opus covers around 80% of most mobile-service businesses straight out of the box. For the 20% that’s specific to your model, we build tailored modules that extend the platform. You’re not forced to change how you operate to suit the software.
Do our operators need training?
Very little. For a field operator, Opus is simple: a job arrives on the mobile app with the customer’s details and a tap to navigate, and they accept it. The people who need the most familiarity are whoever administers the system, and we walk you through that during onboarding.
Do we have to replace our current website?
No. Opus provides web forms that drop straight onto your existing website. Enquiries flow from your current site into Opus, get assigned automatically, and you keep the site you already have.
Will it connect to the other tools we use?
Opus uses Google Maps, and Mailchimp. A new API to connect Opus with GoHighLevel and other CRMs is in active development. Tell us what you run and we’ll tell you straight what’s supported today and what’s coming.
What does it cost?
Opus is a subscription based on the number of users, with a one-off onboarding cost to get you set up and configured. Because the right setup depends on your size and how much tailoring you need, we’ll give you clear pricing on your discovery call once we understand what you’re working with.
Is it actually proven, or new?
Proven. Opus has dispatched jobs every day for over a decade across our own operating businesses, including Housework Heroes, United Home Services and Car Care Australia. It was built by operators to solve a problem we had ourselves, and refined through years of daily, live use.
